Methylene Blue Infusion
A cutting-edge mitochondrial support therapy used to enhance cognitive function, boost cellular energy production, and support neurological health.
Initial Consultation & Labs Required
Methylene blue infusions require an initial consultation with our licensed NP and baseline lab work before your first session. Certain medications and conditions are contraindicated — a thorough intake is essential for your safety.
What Is Methylene Blue?
Methylene blue is a synthetic compound with a long history in medicine — originally used as an antimalarial and antiseptic, it has re-emerged as a powerful mitochondrial support agent. At low therapeutic doses, methylene blue acts as an electron carrier in the mitochondrial respiratory chain, directly enhancing ATP production and reducing oxidative stress. It has demonstrated neuroprotective properties and is being actively studied for cognitive enhancement, mood support, and neurodegenerative disease prevention.
Benefits & Indications
Cognitive Enhancement
Improves memory, focus, and mental clarity by enhancing mitochondrial function in brain cells and increasing cerebral blood flow.
Mitochondrial Support
Directly supports the electron transport chain — increasing ATP output and reducing mitochondrial dysfunction associated with aging and chronic illness.
Neuroprotection
Demonstrates protective effects against neurodegeneration, oxidative damage, and excitotoxicity — of interest for long-term brain health.
Mood & Mental Health
Has shown antidepressant properties in clinical research, with some patients reporting improved mood and reduced anxiety.
Antioxidant & Anti-Aging
Reduces reactive oxygen species and supports cellular repair mechanisms — a key component of longevity-focused protocols.
Post-COVID & Brain Fog
Emerging evidence supports methylene blue as a therapeutic option for persistent cognitive symptoms following COVID-19 infection.
Protocol & What to Expect
Initial Consultation
Your NP reviews your health history, current medications (SSRIs and MAOIs are contraindicated), and goals to confirm methylene blue is safe for you.
Lab Work
Baseline labs including G6PD screening and metabolic panel are required before your first infusion.
Your Infusion Session
Methylene blue is administered slowly over 60 minutes. Note: urine will appear blue-green for 24–48 hours after infusion — this is normal and expected.
Ongoing Protocol
Many patients benefit from a series of infusions spaced 1–2 weeks apart. Your NP will recommend a protocol based on your response and goals.
Pricing
Per-session pricing. Dose is determined by your NP at consultation.
